In keeping with the ancient Carroll Family tradition,
we recommend serving Carroll's Mead in place of champagne
at your wedding and other special occasions.

Origin of “Honeymoon

In medieval times, a bride and groom would drink honey wine during the month following their wedding, from one full moon to another.  This ancient practice was said to enhance both virility and fertility and hence the young couple’s chance of bearing children. This post wedding time of honey wine and romance came to be known as the “Honeymoon”.

An old Irish Wedding Blessing

May God be with you and bless you.
May you see your children’s children.
May you be poor in misfortune,
 rich in blessings.
May you know nothing but happiness from this day forward.
